Lighting Installation ATL
What Homeowners Want to Know
Before Installation
  • What factors affect the price, and can I save by doing multiple rooms?
Pricing can vary depending on the number of lights, ceiling conditions, wiring requirements, and the overall scope of the project. Bundling multiple rooms into the same visit can often reduce the overall cost compared with completing them separately.
  • Will the price change after you arrive?
Your estimate is based on the photos and project details you provide in advance. As long as the scope of work remains the same, you’ll know the price before the installation begins.
  • What is included in the installation price?
The price includes professional installation, standard wiring, connectors, and the electrical materials required for the agreed scope of work. We also help with lighting layout, spacing, and recommendations before installation.
  • How many recessed lights does my room need?
You don’t need to figure that out on your own. Send us photos of the room and we can recommend the number of lights, layout, and spacing based on the size and shape of the space.
  • Can recessed lighting be installed if there is currently no ceiling lighting?
Yes. In many rooms we can add a new switch and run the wiring needed to install recessed lighting even when there is no existing ceiling light.
  • What is the difference between canned and canless recessed lighting?
Canless recessed lights require much less space above the ceiling and can usually be installed in more locations without being limited by traditional recessed-light housings. Traditional canned lights require larger housings and more clearance above the ceiling.
  • Will my ceiling or drywall be damaged during installation?
We plan the installation to minimize unnecessary openings. In some situations, small access holes may be needed to run wiring around framing or other obstacles. When this happens, the drywall pieces are reinstalled and the first coat of compound is applied. Final finishing, sanding, and painting are completed by the homeowner.
  • How long does installation usually take?
Most recessed lighting projects are completed in a single visit. The exact time depends on the number of lights, rooms, and the amount of wiring required.
  • Do I need to purchase the recessed lights?
Yes. Recessed lights are provided by the customer because there is a wide variety of styles, sizes, features, and designs available. We can recommend high-quality, reliable models that work well for most installations and help make the selection process easier.
  • What happens if there is a problem after the installation?
Our workmanship is covered by a lifetime warranty. If there is ever an issue related to the installation itself, such as the wiring, connectors, or other work we performed, we’ll take care of it. The recessed light fixtures themselves are covered separately by the manufacturer’s warranty.
